Vision
To be a leading business and public
policy-oriented think tank.
Mission
To produce in-depth studies in light
of historical and philosophical perspectives, considering
social, economic, political, legal, psycho-cultural,
and technological environment, to come up with evaluation,
recommendation, or conclusion with predictive dimension
useful in policy-making of the government, corporations,
national, regional and international institutions and
organizations.
Goals
* To attract and organize a pool and network of experts
in various fields of human affairs and provide an environment
to bring out their best in the process of producing
in-depth studies.
* To influence events, key players, paradigms, and policy-making
in any or all sectors.
Strategy
* To scan the environment, identify mainstream trends,
issues, concerns and problems on national, regional,
and global levels, look into the underlying assumptions
or paradigm with critical and analytical mind, and come
up with a new way of looking at the world.
Tactics
* To conduct researches and surveys to gather and obtain
the necessary data.
* To develop a network for obtaining timely information
and proposed activities, plans, or projects in the pipeline.
Organizational Structure
The
Institute of International and Strategic Studies shall
have the following structure:
Board of Trustees (BOT)
It
shall be composed of a Chairman-CEO, President-COO,
Vice Chairman, and 12 other Trustees of recognized stature,
competence, and leadership in the field of either education,
business, finance, industry, trade, agriculture, journalism,
economics, technology, religion, management, law, and
government.
The BOT shall formulate and approve the Vision, Mission,
Plans, Goals, Strategies, Tactics, Policies, Procedures,
and Rules of ISIS.
The Board of Trustees shall provide Vision, Mission,
and direction to ISIS and shall oversee the implementation
of the Vision and Mission; goals and strategies; formulate
policies, procedures, and rules for the guidance of
the administration and other stakeholders of ISIS, and
to continuously review, improve, and revise the same
to adapt to changing times and circumstances.
Operations
and Administration
Executive Director
The
Executive Director (Ex-Di) shall have direct and active
management of the operations of ISIS. The Ex-Di may
recommend amendments or revision of the Vision, Mission,
Goals, Strategies, Tactics, Policies, Procedures, and
Rules of ISIS for approval by the BOT. He shall lead
in the implementation and observance of the same by
formulating proposed plans and program of activities,
subject to approval by the BOT.
A
Deputy Executive Director shall assist the Executive
Director and shall have primary responsibility of monitoring
and communicating with members of the network and other
stakeholders.
Fellows,
Associate Fellows And their Privileges
The
ISIS pool of experts shall consist of Fellows and Associate
Fellows.
All
MBA and Ph.D. in Management students and graduates of
IAME are automatically qualified to be an Associate
Fellow of ISIS.
An
Associate Fellow may be elevated to full-pledged Fellow
upon publication of his/her research work in the IAME
Journal of Management, Law, and Economics or other reputable
and respected journals or publications.
Privileges
An Associate Fellow or Fellow shall have access to the
facilities of ISIS and may use the ISIS office as his/her
business office address in Makati City.
The ISIS shall have research area and business center
area to be made available to any Associate Fellow or
Fellow upon prior appointment or reservation on first
come-first served basis. Other amenities of IAME such
as the VIP room of the restaurant, EMBA and Ph.D. rooms
shall likewise be made available to them by appointment
or reservation on first come-first served basis.
Committees
There shall be an Executive Committee composed of the
Chairman-CEO, President-COO, one other member of the
BOT, Ex-Di, Deputy Ex-Di, and one Fellow, and one Associate
Fellow.
The BOT may create such other committees as may be necessary
in furtherance of its Vision, Mission and Goals of ISIS.
International Advisory Council
There shall be an International Advisory Council (IAC)
headed by a Chairman and Vice-Chairman composed of outstanding
individuals of recognized international stature coming
from the academe, diplomatic world, leaders of government,
non-governmental organizations, corporations, and international
institutions and organizations, coming from various
nations all over the world
